Megaskepasma erythrochlamys

What a mouthful of a name! Affectionately known in our garden as ‘The Mega’. Easy and quick to grow, these lush, tropical shrubs have large glossy green leaves all year although can drop a few leaves in cold Winters.
It will start to bloom early Winter with huge crimson bracts held up above the foliage which are very eye catching. The actual flower is white and quite small and insignificant. The honey eaters and pollinators just LOVE this shrub. Give it a good prune after flowering to keep it nice and bushy.
Needs a good dose of morning sun to flower well but protect from direct afternoon sun.
