Brugmansia – apricot

Common Name: Angel's Trumpet

This beautiful large shrub/small tree originally came from my Aunty Jean’s garden in Sydney as a cutting over 30 years ago. Fast growing with large pendulous and highly fragrant apricot flowers that attract bees and other pollinators. Flowers will flush all year round, especially after heavy rain. Able to be pruned back very hard when they become leggy and remove dead limbs completely. Can sometimes self seed but isn’t a problem in my garden. Will drop leaves temporarily in cold winters.

All parts of this plant are highly toxic! Plants tend to sulk on hot days but perk back up once the sun is off them so try and keep them out of the afternoon sun.

Flowering Time: Mostly during the warmer months or after heavy rain
